Our Coaches

Caitlin Dallmeyer - Club Director

Caitlin Dallmeyer recently concluded a seven-year tenure as Head Coach of Lehigh University’s Field Hockey program, stepping away in January 2023 to pursue opportunities beyond coaching. During her leadership, she guided Lehigh to historic success, including the 2022 Patriot League Championship—the program’s first since 1994—and its first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance.

Before Lehigh, Dallmeyer served as Head Field Hockey Coach, Assistant Athletic Director, and Senior Woman Administrator at Dickinson College.

A standout student-athlete at Duke University, Dallmeyer was a two-time NFHCA All-South Region selection, earned All-ACC and NFHCA All-America honors, and competed in three NCAA Final Fours. She ranks among Duke’s all-time leaders in saves and shutouts and was a member of the U.S. Field Hockey Junior National Teams that competed internationally in the Netherlands and Australia.

Amber Auchenbach (U10 Director & Coach)

Amber Auchenbach began her role as Associate Head Field Hockey Coach at Kutztown University in 2022, returning to the Golden Bears after previously serving as an assistant coach from 2013–2017. During her first tenure, she helped guide Kutztown to four winning seasons, three double-digit win campaigns, and a 2015 playoff appearance.

Following her time at Kutztown, Auchenbach led Cedar Crest College as Head Coach, earning CSAC Coach of the Year honors in 2018 after placing five student-athletes on the All-CSAC First Team. She then spent three seasons as Head Coach at Albright College (2019–2021), mentoring multiple All-MAC Commonwealth selections.

A standout player at Bloomsburg University, Auchenbach helped the Huskies capture the 2009 NCAA Division II National Championship and earned two NFHCA All-America honors (First Team in 2012, Second Team in 2011). She was also a three-time All-PSAC selection during her collegiate career.

Dr. Stephanie Palmieri (U16 Coach)

Dr. Stephanie Palmieri is the former DeSales University Field Hockey Assistant Coach. Serving as the Bulldogs’ goalie coach, she helped lead the program to a 15–5 overall record in 2022, including an undefeated 8–0 conference mark, eight shutouts, and a MAC Freedom Tournament Championship.

Before her time at DeSales, Palmieri spent two seasons as a graduate assistant and goalie coach at Lehigh University (2007–2009), following a standout playing career with both Lehigh’s field hockey and softball programs.

Palmieri earned her B.A. in English and M.Ed. in Secondary Education from Lehigh University before completing her Ph.D. in Media and Communication at Temple University in 2017. She currently serves as Assistant Director of Lehigh Valley Summerbridge, a nonprofit that supports highly motivated, low-income middle school students in the Lehigh Valley.

Tyler Wilson (U19 Coach)

Tyler Wilson joined the Wilson High School Field Hockey staff as an assistant coach following a standout collegiate career at Muhlenberg College. A 2022 graduate, Wilson started all 15 games her senior season and was a key defensive presence throughout her time with the Mules. She began her collegiate career at Elizabethtown College, where she started 18 of 19 games as a freshman and recorded five defensive saves before transferring to Muhlenberg.

Wilson began her coaching journey with the Phoenix Performance Academy in 2021 and later served as a volunteer assistant coach at Muhlenberg College during the 2022 season.

In addition to coaching, Wilson is a dedicated school counselor, bringing her passion for mentorship and student development both on and off the field.

Jackie O’Connell (U14 Coach)

Jackie O’Connell is the Assistant Field Hockey Coach at Muhlenberg College. Since joining the Mules’ staff in 2015, she has helped guide the program to multiple winning seasons, including four .500 or better finishes, and played a key role in Muhlenberg’s 2016 ECAC Championship run.

A two-sport athlete at Washington College, O’Connell competed in both field hockey and basketball. In just two seasons of collegiate field hockey (2013–2014), she tallied 16 goals and four assists, leading the team in scoring her first year with 10 goals.

O’Connell’s competitive background and multi-sport leadership experience have made her an integral part of Muhlenberg’s continued success and player development

Teresa Mathews (U16 Coach)

A 2014 graduate of Monmouth University, Mathews served as associate head coach at Lehigh University in 2022, helping guide the Mountain Hawks to the Patriot League championship and their first-ever NCAA Tournament berth. She also began her coaching career at Lehigh, serving as a volunteer assistant in 2014 and a graduate assistant for the next two seasons while earning her master's in mental health counseling and human services.

In between, Mathews spent on year at St. Francis University as first assistant and four as an assistant at Northeastern University. 

As a player, Mathews was a three-year starter for Monmouth, compiling a 26-20 career record with 8 shutouts and helping her team reach the Northeast Conference final two straight years. 

Mathews, who earned her bachelor's degree in psychology, also has considerable experience as a club field hockey coach.

 

Marci Scheuing (U19 Director & Coach)

Marci Scheuing has led the Kutztown University Field Hockey program since 2014. Under her direction, Kutztown has become a consistent national contender, winning a National Championship in 2023.

Scheuing played collegiately at Mansfield University, where she captained the Mountaineers and competed on nationally ranked and ECAC Championship teams. In addition to her collegiate success, Scheuing has been a longtime youth development leader, coaching over 10 seasons with the High Styx Field Hockey Club, following seven years with the United Field Hockey Club in Downingtown, PA.

Kim Underwood (U12 Director & Coach)

Kim Underwood has established one of Pennsylvania’s most respected and successful high school programs. In her first year at the helm (2010), she led Wilson to a Berks County Championship, and in 2019 guided the Bulldogs to their first-ever PIAA Class 3A State Title. That historic season earned her PIAA Field Hockey Coach of the Year honors. Most recently, Underwood led Wilson to another Berks County Championship in 2022.

Beyond her high school success, Underwood is deeply committed to youth development. She founded Wilson’s summer youth field hockey program, which continues to grow under her leadership with support from parents and players. She also brings club coaching experience from X-Calibur and currently contributes to the High Styx Field Hockey Club.

A standout player at the University of North Carolina, Underwood captained the 1995 Tar Heels to the NCAA National Championship. Her passion for the game continues through her family—her daughters, Bryn (American University) and Reagan (Liberty University), both played Division I field hockey.

Megan Eddinger (U16 Coach)

Megan Eddinger has led the Muhlenberg College Field Hockey program since 2005. Also serving as the Senior Woman Administrator, Eddinger has built a tradition of excellence marked by six Centennial Conference playoff appearances, wins over nationally ranked opponents, and the 2016 ECAC Championship. Across her tenure as head and assistant coach, she has guided the Mules to a 175–146 record.

Eddinger reached the 100-win milestone in 2015 and became Muhlenberg’s all-time winningest coach the following year. The 2016 season stands as one of the best in program history, with school records for wins (18), shutouts (11), and goals scored (61). That same season, the Mules captured the ECAC title, and Eddinger coached the program’s first-ever NFHCA First Team All-American.

A 2001 graduate of Gettysburg College, Eddinger was a four-year starter and captain, helping the Bullets capture three Centennial Conference championships and earn NCAA Tournament berths in 1998 and 1999. She was a four-time All-Centennial Conference honoree and a 1999 All-South Region selection.

Beyond the collegiate season, Eddinger has contributed to U.S. Field Hockey’s Futures program and coached USA Athletes International teams in Barbados.

Lissa Opolsky (U10 Coach)

Lissa Opolsky is the Head Field Hockey Coach at Northwestern Lehigh High School, where she has built one of the region’s most competitive programs. Under her leadership, the Tigers captured District XI Championships in 2019, 2020, and 2022, Colonial League Championships in 2020, and made four state playoff appearances (2018, 2019, 2020, 2022).

Before taking the helm at Northwestern Lehigh, Opolsky served as Assistant Coach at Crestwood High School from 2010–2012, helping guide the team to three District II Championships and the 2012 PIAA AA State Title.

An experienced club coach, Opolsky began her coaching career with Kapow Field Hockey Club (2008–2010), later becoming co-owner and coach of Valley Styx Field Hockey Club (2010–2015). She joined the High Styx Field Hockey Club staff in 2022, where she continues to help develop young athletes.

A four-year starter at the University of Iowa, Opolsky helped lead the Hawkeyes to Big Ten Tournament Championships in 2006, 2007, and 2008. She earned Second Team All-Big Ten and First Team West Region All-America honors in 2008 and was selected to compete in the NFHCA NCAA Senior All-Star Game that same year. 

Kathryn Scheerer (U19 Coach)

Kathryn Scheerer graduated from Boston University in 2021, where she was a four-year starter and key contributor for the Terriers’ field hockey program. A versatile player who excelled at both midfield and defense, Scheerer helped Boston capture the Patriot League Championship in her freshman season and earned numerous accolades throughout her career, including NFHCA All-Region honors (First and Second Team), Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week, and NFHCA Division I Senior Team recognition. In her senior season, she served as team co-captain, was named NFHCA Division I All-American, and earned the program’s Most Valuable Player award.

Scheerer began her coaching career as an Assistant Varsity Coach at Winsor High School in 2021, helping lead the team to the NEPSAC Class C Championship under Head Coach Erin Calamari. She gained valuable experience mentoring student-athletes while completing her Master of Science in Bioengineering at Northeastern University.

A graduate of Boston University with a degree in Biomedical Engineering, Scheerer now works as a Medical Device Engineer for Conductive Technologies Inc., while continuing to share her expertise and passion for the game through coaching.
