On Coach Amber Auchenbach-

Amber is awesome! She is the right amount of joy and toughness on our girls. My daughter loved her. It is appreciated that she takes her college expertise and works with the girls at High Styx!

Coach Amber has been the best coach for any youth or club sport our family has been involved with over the many years and different sports they have been a part of. She is supportive and instructive while also having a level of expectations equal to age and skill. She is great!

On Coach Lissa Opolsky-

This was my daughter’s first indoor season and we couldn’t have been more grateful to be coached by Coach Lissa. Her ability to motivate, teach fundamentals, and build confidence in each athlete is something that should not go unnoticed. It was fun to watch my daughter and her teammates learn and grow throughout the season. We look forward to future seasons with High Styx!

Coach Lissa was wonderful. She did a great job helping my daughter learn a lot in a short amount of time. I am very pleased with all of the growth and improvement I saw, in not only my daughter, but the whole team. Thanks coach, we can’t wait for next season!

On Coach Marci Scheuing-
Marci is a phenomenal motivator and coach. She knows how to connect with the girls on an individual level and also creates strong team unity. She blends competitiveness and levity which makes her an excellent coach, and female role model for the girls. She gives specific and supportive feedback and truly cares about each player. Her commitment is outstanding, especially considering her family and other coaching responsibilities. Thank you for everything you do for our girls!

We had coach Marci for Shooting stars and Winter Escape and she was so awesome! Love her coaching style- wants to win and full of positivity! She’s also a great teacher and encouraged. My daughter felt like she could play freely and confident when playing for her at these tournaments.

On Coach Meg Eddinger-
Meg is such a great coach! She was always positive, took time to explain and teach- really helped my daughter improve. Always made the girls laugh and grow closer to each other. So thankful for her, and all of the coaches!

Coach Meg was wonderful- this was my daughter's favorite season of hockey by far. Meg created a positive environment where the girls were challenged but they could also be themselves. My daughter would share Meg's feedback with me and I could tell that she understood what Meg was saying and she was able to apply it. Her confidence grew, her skills were sharpened and the love of field hockey was evident. I admired that Meg was soft spoken but also stood up for her team when needed. We loved Coach Meg!

Coach Steph Palmieri-
Steph is an absolute treasure. She is the PERFECT person to coach the youngest U8 athletes! She relates to them so well and makes learning the game fun. I also loved how much she involved families every week. My daughter had an amazing season, and Steph was a big part of that, giving her lots of positive feedback every week.

Coach Steph was so great with the kids. (K-2) She took the time to memorize their names, was gentle with her instructions to help them be open to loving the game, and you could tell she cared about who the girls were as people (not just athletes). She educated and encouraged. And I greatly appreciated her!

Coach Steph was amazing for our daughter (U16). She was never negative always so POSITIVE and such a great role model for all the girls. Win or lose she was amazing and definitely an asset to your program. This was a newer team to indoor hockey and she always said we don’t worry about the score, just how we play as a team. My visiting family members even complimented how well she handled the team and how she coached the girls. We hope to have her again as a coach in the future.

Coach Steph has been one of my all time favorite coaches for years, not just at High Styx, but across all of my sports and teams. She has endlessly supported me, recognized me when I do something good and she never fails to shout encouragement from the sideline. She has always lifted me up and believed in me no matter the score. I consistently play some of my best field hockey when she is on our sideline, whether she is assisting or my teams coach. I attribute many of my stand-out performances to her coaching style, constant positivity and unwavering confidence in me.

On Coach Teresa Mathews-
She was always positive even if things weren’t going well. She also always gave well thought out constructive criticism that helped me become a better player. Even when being serious she made sure she was fun too!

Thank you Coach Teresa for pushing my child to be her best self. My daughter came into this indoor season lacking confidence, but she has walked away with the knowledge that she can do this! I also appreciate that you teach the kids to compete - not just in games, but in practice - and not just with their opponents but with themselves! Life lessons!

On Coach Tyler Wilson-
Coach Tyler helped our daughter develop resilience, better accept constructive criticism, and improve under pressure. We appreciate coach’s dedication and feedback to push our daughter to be the best version of herself.

Coach Tyler has been incredible this season, we have navigated some difficult situations and she has constantly lifted us up, led us to success and believed in us without question.

On Coach Kim Underwood-
Coach Kim made us feel like we were part of the team family right from day 1! We appreciated how she encouraged the girls to get to know each other from the start, encouraged team bonding and helped pull our daughter, who was new to the club, out of her shell. We appreciate the whole emphasis on team playing. Her coaching and teaching are excellent, and I feel like my daughter learned so much this year.

Coach Underwood is a positive, fun and motivating coach for U12! The girls respond positively to her and most of all, want to play well for her! Kim’s energy makes them play their hardest and always and brings confidence to her players.

Thank you so much for all you do! Girls who are lucky enough to play for you, learn field hockey, leadership and life skills! There should be more like Kim!

On Coach Kate Wilson-
Coach Kate was the ABSOLUTE BEST!!! She helped us improve on skills throughout the season which showed through our tournament. She brought positive energy to our team which is a part on how successful we were! I am so great full for her being my coach this year!

On Coach Cara Bonshak-
Cara was super awesome for our girls’ team, as first time indoor players. She brought fun & positivity to practice, along with helping the girls grow and learn. They are already looking forward to more practices and more tournaments!

On Club Director & Coach Caitlin Dallmeyer-
We really appreciate everything that Caitlin puts into her team and the club as a whole. She has coached my daughter for the past two years and she has grown a lot under her leadership. She pushes her out of her comfort zone as a player and it has made a big difference with her indoor and outdoor play.

Caitlin always goes out of her way to make sure everyone throughly understands everything. Whether that’s on the press, corners, etc. She is resilient and pushes her players to be the best they can be and believes in us. I love that she always keeps it real with her players in an encouraging and positive way. She instills confidence in me and my teammates and I’m beyond grateful to have had her as a coach!

Coach Caitlin is amazing! She gives great feedback when off the court and on the bench. My daughter also loved how hard she pushed them in practices!

I also wanted to take a moment to recognize Caitlin, who does not directly coach my child’s team but has been present on their sideline a number of times. From a parent’s perspective, seeing the director of the program actively involved with the teams is truly special. As a parent, it is an incredible feeling to drop my daughter off with any member of this staff and fully trust that not only will she be taught next-level skills and game strategy, but that she will also be supported and looked after as a person.
